Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ ...what training do you offer?

We hold training sessions on Tuesday evenings from late April to mid September. Most new sailors come along and give it a try, most keep coming back! Take a look at our calendar to check out dates of training. Read more...

FAQ ...can I book lessons?

We don't do formal lessons and you don't need to book, just turn up on a Tuesday. The sessions are pretty informal but give you a good introduction to sailing and the chance to have a go without it costing too much. Alternatively if you are interested in completing a formal course such as RYA level 1 and 2, then try our neighbours - Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre.

FAQ ...do I have to have my own boat?

We have a number of club boats including Pico's, Toppers, a Heron and an Enterprise. These are available for use during the training sessions. Many club members also helpout by taking people out in their boats and passing on their experience. If your interested in buying a boat then speak to our members to let them help you pick the right type. Read more...
