About us
YSC offers a safe and friendly sailing environment for all types of sailors from beginners to the advanced, young or wise. We are a private club organised and run by a committee formed from the membership and elected by the membership. Club members can make full use of the facilities of the clubhouse at Yeadon Tarn, which provides changing rooms with hot showers and a well-equipped kitchen.
Members can make use of the club boats at organised sessions or store their own boats in the dinghy park. A regular programme of racing is organised on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and Wednesday evenings with training on Tuesday evenings.
Beginners
We all had to start somewhere and Yeadon Tarn is ideal for those who have little or no sailing experience. We recommend that you come along to one of our Tuesday night training sessions or open days and give it a go for free.
Experienced
Your more than welcome to come along to any of our sessions to meet the members and take a look at the facilities, we offer boat storage if you require along with a regular race programme on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. We would advise Tuesday night training would be a good time to come down and check us out.
